The fact that Adel Sheridan is the first ever Diva to be inducted into the Hall of Fame is fitting. She represents everything every model should aspire to be. Her outer beauty has led to a career that has included appearances for Playboy, Mystique Mystical Journeys and American Curves. Her inner beauty led to me calling her my friend.
It was back in 2001, I first became aware of Adel. The moderator of her Yahoo Group sent me an e-mail inviting me to join. After seeing the group, I immediately went to Adel's site. It wasn't long after that, I new I had found the next girl I wanted for the site, then just coming into it's own. I immediately e-mailed Adel and was thrilled to get a quick response saying yes. That would lead to long association that was rewarding for me both professionally and personally.
It was little later that year, I would first speak with Adel on the phone. Prior to that first call, I was nervous. It was still the early going as far as the site went and I hadn't talked to many models at the time. Within a few minutes though, I was relaxed as talking to Adel was like talking to an old friend. This would set the tone for our association.
Years later, when I felt I was losing ground to other sites, I decided that I wanted to update the photos on some of the girl pages more frequently to differentiate myself. Adel was right there for me, contributing new content whenever I wanted it. I was touched to know she thought so highly of not only me, but all of you who visit the site.
Personally, Adel became a trusted friend who I could confide in and would always to lend an ear when I needed someone to listen. I am proud to say, she placed the same confidence in me.
When I learned Adel was closing her site, initially I was crushed. After I got over the initial shock I knew I had to do something to honor this special person. To that end, please join me in honoring Adel Sheridan as the first member of the TWV Divas Hall of Fame.
