I'd like to start by noting there was not been in an induction into the TWV Divas Hall of Fame in two years. Up until today there have only been two members ever inducted. Today we have a third. Someone who I am very proud to induct into the HOF. That person is Crissy Moran.
I first met Crissy back at the Net Model Expo in 2000, the site's first year. That trip involved at 14 hour drive to Indiana and meeting Crissy was one of the moments that made it worth the trip. I remember noticing her at the convention without realizing she was a model. When she approached me asking me to be on the site, I was stunned. I remember districting writing in my coverage of the show that "I was sleeping on the job, to have missed Crissy." I was even more stunned at how nice she was considering her considerable beauty.
By the following year Crissy had already become one of the most popular models on the ‘net. At the same time I was a personal low. It was then I found out just how big a heart Crissy has. Though she didn't have to Crissy opened up to me and shared some of her own experiences with me. She also let me know she cared. It meant a lot to me and really helped my own road to recovery. Crissy would face her own problems in the coming years and I greatly regret not being able to help her as much as I would have liked.
This story does have a happy ending though. When I saw Crissy again at Glamourcon in 2005 I could see change was in the wind. I didn’t get to talk to her for a long as I would have liked she did mention a desire to do more work outside of the adult industry. I was happy to hear that knowing she was lured into it and hoped things would go in the right direction for her. My personal feeling was she wanted to get out altogether but I didn't want to say anything for fear of being wrong.
Just recently I was happy to learn I was right. While it was been a controversial topic, Crissy has left the adult industry behind and found god. While some are critical, their motivations are purely selfish. Crissy Moran is one the kindest souls I've ever known. The fact that she is finally finding the happiness she so richly deserves is all that matters. Please join me in welcoming Crissy Moran into the TWV Divas Hall of Fame.
