This Diva had quite an unusual path to superstar status! Her original goal was to be a professional ballet-dancer!
Lisa Marie had been accepted into several premier ballet training programs after high school and won several scholarships in several international competitions in Switzerland, Japan, and Los Angeles. While desiring a professional dance career after high school she enrolled in University of California (at Irvine) to make her parents happy. After only one quarter in college, she was offered a contract with a ballet company in the Pacific Northwest. The schedule was grueling though (six full days a week with, many times performing 2 or 3 times a day), and this coupled with constantly having to watch her weight and being away so much from her family while touring, took its toll.
At this point, fate stepped in. Before joining the dance company, friends of Lisa Marie's saw that Playboy was looking for some new Playmates. Some swimsuit photos were all that was needed to apply. Her friends dared her and she took them up on it, never really expecting anything to come of it. It was only a matter of weeks however, before a Playboy rep called to set up a test shoot.
The ball started rolling from there and hasn't stopped since! Lisa Marie appeared in Playboy's 40th anniversary issue and appeared on TV shows (in speaking roles) such as Friends, Baywatch, High Tide, and Married with Children. She also appeared in the debut edition of Imagine Magazine and was named Mystique Magazine’s 2000 Model of the Year. But we know your fate is to check out some stunning photos of Lisa Marie.
