This Diva is looking to rule the ring! Yep, while Shelly has been involved in numerous high profile projects her true love is sports entertainment!
While many of Shelly's fellow Divas dreamed of becoming of models at a young age, Shelly was already dreaming of becoming a professional wrestler. She remembers telling her father it was what she wanted to do and his encouraging response of "well that is what you will be then". Unfortunately Shelly's father died in a car accident, the same year she graduated high school. Always remembering how much he loved her, his words "well that is what you will be then" resonated inside Shelly and were the driving force for pursuing her dreams of a wrestling career
Not knowing where to begin ,Shelly branched out into other areas of the entertainment industry. She built up an impressive resume, all the while trying to gain information on entering the wrestling business. Shelly would have an opportunity, when she was able to catch the eye of Shane McMahon (then president of WWF New Media) at a WWF event. Ok, she probably caught the eye of EVERY guy at the event! In any case, Shelly still kicks herself because she didn't have a card to leave Shane. Doh!
The meeting made Shelly even hungrier to enter the industry. She finally found a way in when some casting directors, remembering her interest in wrestling cast her in a small role in an indy film about wrestling. This led to Shelly meeting a promoter and getting her first official training. Shelly continued to train in different styles for a few years and had a tryout with WWE. Shelley would eventually see her dream come true becoming a WWE Diva working as "Ariel" on thier ECW brand. We're proud to say that we welcomed Shelley to our Divas team first! After parting ways with WWE (what were they thinking anyway?) ,Shelley is once againing ruling the ring as "Salinas" in Total NonStop Action Wrestling. We're nothing but thrilled with Shelley's string of success in the grappling game. Judging by the pictures below, we bet you're thrilled too!
